Affordable, Accessible Midco Gig Comes to St. Joseph and 14 Surrounding Communities
St. Joseph, MN: Devoted to providing innovative services to the Midwest, Midco is now offering Midco Gig Internet in St. Joseph and 14 surrounding communities. Midco Chief Technology Officer Jon Pederson made the announcement at an event that included Minnesota Congressman Tom Emmer and St. Joseph Mayor Rick Schultz.
“Today is another example of Midco’s commitment to the communities we serve," said Pederson. "With our state-of-the-art network and upgraded facility in St. Joseph, Midco Gig is 35 times faster than the average high-speed internet."
For residential customers, Midco Gig Internet will provide a large amount of bandwidth to a home network – allowing multiple users to surf, stream, download and game at the same time. For business customers, Midco Business Gig Internet will deliver the internet capacity needed to support employee productivity and serve customers.
“The internet is every bit as important as bridges, roads and waterways. This is the technology age. People need it to access healthcare and to stay on their home place,” said Congressman Emmer, who represents Minnesota’s 6th District, which includes St. Joseph. “Midco is actively invested in this community and the region. I thank them for what they’ve done.”
At the announcement, St. Joseph Mayor Schultz shared why he’s personally excited for this advancement. “I work from home for a global company," he said. "I use Midco, and I can’t say enough about their service and uptime. It’s always up. Without their service, I couldn’t do my job. Today’s Gig launch speaks to Midco’s commitment to our community.”
Midco Gig Internet is now available in 95% of the communities Midco serves. It’s part of Midco’s ongoing promise to delivering services that enhance people’s lives wherever they live and work.
